Objectives; In this study we compared transabdominal ultrasound to transvaginal determine which one of them is most accurate in measuring the LUS. Methods; a prospective observational on 100 pregnant at term women with history previous CS visited Maternity Teaching Hospital between period Jan 2020 Sep 2020. Results; total ( age range 20-42 years), more than half were primiparous and majority no miscarriage, mean LUS was 4 mm standard deviation 1.09 abdominal ultra sound 3.4 1.14 3.45mm 1.2 intraoperative before delivering head baby (p < 0.001). Conclusion; Trans vaginal lower uterine segment.

Sonographic evaluation of the lower uterine segment in patients with previous cesarean delivery.
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the appearance of the lower uterine segment (LUS) in pregnant women with previous cesarean delivery and to compare the LUS thickness with that in women with unscarred uteri. METHODS In a prospective study, sonographic examination was performed on 53 pregnant women with previous cesarean delivery (cesarean group), 40 nulliparas (nullip-control), and 40 women who had 1 or ...
متن کاملSonographic Lower Uterine Segment Thickness Measurement and Risk of Uterine Scar Defect in Women with Previous Caesarean Section
Background: Risk of scar defect is inversely correlated with lower uterine segment thickness. The study aims to assess the diagnostic accuracy of sonographic measurement of the lower uterine segment thickness near term in predicting uterine scar defect in women with prior Caesarean section and ascertain the best cut-off value for predicting uterine rupture in our country. Methods: This observat...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the accuracy of antenatal sonographic measurement of lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness in the prediction of risk of uterine rupture during a trial of labor (TOL) in women with a previous Cesarean section (CS). METHODS PubMed and EMBASE were searched to identify articles published on the subject of sonographic LUS measurement and occurrence of a uterine defect after d...

Purpose: To evaluate the accuracy of sonographic measurements of the lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness at term in predicting uterine scar defects in women with previous Cesarean delivery (CD). Methods: Eighty-nine pregnant women who underwent CD between 37 and 41 weeks of gestation from 2013 to 2015 were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups. Group A consisted of women with pre...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate by ultrasonography, the lower uterine segment thickness of women with a previous cesarean delivery and determine a critical thickness above which safe vaginal delivery is predictable. METHODS A prospective observational study of 71 antenatal women with previous cesarean delivery and 50 controls was carried out. Transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography were used in...
